Off-ice
Off-ice gives me an opportunity to create a competitive advantage. Lots of goalies show up for on-ice practice and games, but off-ice work takes dedication and discipline and is mostly done all by yourself when no one else is watching.
I run Varsity track at school to build my leg strength and stamina. As a Varsity Athlete, I get the benefit of a Strength and Conditioning Coach all year round. I work out with my track teammates along with varsity football and hockey players. My school friends are almost all athletes, so we turn work outs into an opportunity to hang together. We push each other to get better, faster and stronger.
I am fortunate enough to live on 17.5 acres of hilly land where we created a 24 station "Warrior Course". I schedule friends and family to come out to run our Warrior Course. We are continually adding stations to the course and that keeps it fresh. People always want to come try out our new stations.
